- Low-smoke halogen-free wires are environmentally friendly wires that use halogen-free polymer materials (such as chlorine, fluorine, and bromine) for insulation and sheathing. They do not release toxic halogen acid gases when burning and produce extremely low smoke, maximizing personnel escape time and equipment safety.

Low-Smoke Halogen-Free Wires
Conductor: Annealed copper (Class 1/2/5), tin-plated if desired.
Insulation layer: Halogen-free low-smoke polyolefin (such as EVA/PE base material + aluminum hydroxide/magnesium hydroxide flame retardant).
Sheath layer (if any): Halogen-free low-smoke polyolefin, usually black or as per standard color code.
Optional structures: shielding (aluminum-plastic composite tape, copper wire braiding), armoring (metal tape/wire covered with halogen-free material), multi-core cabling.

Features/Parameters
Halogen-free: The halogen content in the insulation and sheathing materials is extremely low (usually chlorine content ≤0.1%), and it does not produce highly corrosive and toxic gases such as hydrogen chloride and hydrogen fluoride when burned.
Low smoke: The specially formulated materials produce less smoke when burning and have high light transmittance (usually ≥60%), ensuring high visibility in case of fire.
Flame retardant: Usually has good flame retardant properties.
Low toxicity: The combustion gases have low toxicity.
Environmentally friendly: The materials are recyclable, and the production process and waste disposal are environmentally friendly.
