PVC Wires
Conductor: Copper (TU1/TU2), tin-plated copper or aluminum, in round or fan-shaped strands.
Insulation layer: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) mixture.
Sheath layer (if any): Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) blend, typically gray, white, or black.
Common models:
BV: Copper core PVC insulated wire (single core, for fixed wiring).
BVR: Copper core PVC insulated flexible wire (multi-strand flexible conductor).
RV: Copper core PVC insulated flexible wire (softer, used for internal wiring of household appliances).
RVV: Copper core PVC insulated PVC sheathed flexible cable (multi-core, lightweight sheathed wire).
VV/VLV: Polyvinyl chloride insulated and polyvinyl chloride sheathed power cable (low voltage power transmission).

Limited temperature resistance: The long-term operating temperature is usually 70℃ (standard type) or 90℃ (105℃ for heat-resistant type).
Hardening at low temperatures: Flexibility decreases in low-temperature environments.

IEC 60502: Extruded insulated power cables with rated voltages from 1kV to 30kV.
